Search Madison County Recent Arrests

Madison County recent arrests surface first in the county's live booking views. Those screens come from an official vendor. The vendor splits custody into three groups. New arrests, current inmates, and recent releases each get a tab of their own. Weekly logs and court files answer different questions, such as who was arrested in Madison County days ago or where a case now sits. Each section here points you to the right tool for the question at hand. You will also learn what the roster fields mean. Older bookings need a record request.

Where Madison County Bookings Appear

The first stop for a Madison County booking is the sheriff-linked RPS roster. Its three tabs are not the same thing. New Inmates covers a short booking window. Current Inmates shows who sits in county custody now. Recent Releases, though, tracks a brief span after custody ends. RPS hosts the interface for the sheriff. Rows shift as staff process bookings, releases, transfers, and corrections.

View Window Best use
New Inmates Booked in last 48 hours Newest timestamped bookings
Current Inmates Current custody Whether a person remains listed
Recent Releases Released in last 48 hours Recent custody exits

For a near-same-day lookup, the Daily Arrest Report walks through the steps while keeping the source's true 48-hour label. Slower questions get the Weekly Arrest Log. That route runs through local reporting and archives rather than the live feed, covering a genuinely different set of days.

Why the Feed Covers 48 Hours

Madison County's closest daily feed carries the plain title "Inmates Booked in Last 48 Hours," and its displayed arrest timestamp beats any assumption of instant publication. Publication is not instant. Neither the sheriff nor the vendor posts a fixed refresh interval, maximum lag, weekend or holiday schedule, or API guarantee. Intake, data entry, court holds, images, name formats, and outages can all affect visibility.

A missing booking deserves a second pass. Check Current Inmates and Recent Releases, since the person may have been released quickly, transferred, filed under a different name form, or not yet entered. For urgent custody questions, call MCSO at 479-738-2320. No result is not proof of no arrest.

Search the Madison County Jail Roster

The Current Inmates view sorts by arrested date or name. Name and page-size controls sit at the top. Always compare several identifiers. A common name or city alone is unreliable.

Field Meaning and limit
Name and demographics Identity clues, not sufficient alone
City/address May be residence or mailing data, not arrest location
Arrested time Roster timestamp, not guaranteed publication time
Charges Booking charges, not findings
Bond/court Follow-up leads, not a disposition
Photo Shown where supplied; never guaranteed

Pick the tab that matches your custody question, compare the full row, then confirm through VINELink Inmate Check or the sheriff's office. The roster is a working view. It is not a permanent archive. The official Current Inmates interface shows the roster's organization:

This capture documents the interface, not a static republication of changing inmate records.

Booked, Released, or Transferred After Arrest

Booked means intake happened. Current means the vendor lists county custody right now. Released means county custody ended, nothing more. Recent Releases can bridge the gap after someone leaves Current Inmates, though it rolls off after 48 hours. VINE may carry later status.

A transfer into Arkansas prison custody puts the person in the DOC search. Federal custody belongs in the BOP locator, while immigration detention uses ICE. None of those replaces a fresh county booking.

Mobile Madison County Roster Access

The roster also links to RPS-Inmate Info for Apple and RPS-Inmate Info in Google Play. Both are vendor products. They are not a separate Madison-branded sheriff app. Confirm the county selection and the features inside the app; the Google Play listing shows that distinction:

RPS-Inmate Info vendor app listing

For most people, the direct web roster and a call to the sheriff remain the clearest Madison County routes. Nothing beats them for speed. Huntsville's city news app is a different tool. It is not documented as an arrest feed.

Where Madison County Bookings Publish

Official sources come first. MCSO and RPS own the county booking data. VINELink covers status and notifications, Search ARCourts covers dockets, and the Madison County Record adds event-driven reporting with previous-week material. Add RecentlyBooked, Arrests.org, and Busted Newspaper for unofficial discovery. Those sites may lag, duplicate, keep stale copies, or normalize city names differently, so settle any conflict with the agency that owns the fact.

Recent Bookings by City

Cities add a wrinkle. Huntsville Recent Arrests separates an HPD incident report from a county booking. HPD publishes forms but no daily booking roster. St. Paul Recent Arrests and Hindsville Recent Arrests use the countywide system, because neither town runs a distinct feed. The city field is tricky. It may reflect residence, a mailing place, or publisher normalization rather than the arrest location.

What a Madison County Arrest Record Shows

A requested booking record can hold identity information, arrest or confinement time, the agency or officer, a booking number, alleged offenses, bond, court routing, release or transfer data, and a photograph. Arkansas detention rules describe the jail log too. They call for demographics, arrest and release times, offense class, officer, and warrant or commitment information.

A booking number tracks intake; a case number tracks litigation. The arrest date is not the filing date. Charges may be amended or dismissed. Bond sets a release condition. A roster court date is only a lead, so check it against the docket.

Note: A warrant, a charge, or a booking photo is simply one entry in the booking file a record request returns.

Madison County Mugshots and Booking Photos

The county's jail roster system posts a booking photo whenever it has one. No policy promises an image for every booking, though. Some Madison County arrests appear with no photo at all. A missing picture never proves the booking failed to happen. This page also hosts no mugshot gallery of its own.

State custody is a different matter. The Arkansas DOC search can display a photo after a person enters that system. That image may not match the county booking photo. DOC lookups track sentenced or state-held people. A fresh Madison County intake belongs on the sheriff-linked roster. Sort out which custody applies before using the state interface.

Need an official copy after the roster changes? Identify the booking, then ask MCSO whether the image is kept and can be released. A third-party copy can linger after the government interface moves on.

Request a Madison County Arrest Record

Once an entry rolls off the roster, send an Arkansas FOIA request to the record custodian. Name the person and the date range. Add the agency and a booking number if one is known. Then list each item you want: the booking sheet, bond and charge fields, release or transfer record, and photo. Ask for electronic copies, advance notice of any fee, the basis for any exemption, and any separable non-exempt portions.

MCSO's own pages disagree about the mailing address. Newer listings show 220 North Gaskill, Huntsville, AR 72740, while others point to 201 W. Main. Call 479-738-2320 before mailing or visiting. Administrative contacts are 479-738-5612 and mcsoinfo@madisoncounty.net, but neither serves as a round-the-clock records desk.

The Attorney General FOIA page explains the state framework:

Arkansas Attorney General FOIA guidance

Use it with a request sent to the office maintaining the particular record.

Arkansas Arrest Sealing and Photo Law

Not every record is open. Juvenile, sealed, investigative, and protected records may be withheld or redacted. Typos, wrong photos, and sealing orders need different fixes. Report live errors straight to MCSO; sealing runs through the court and ACIC process, and eligibility turns on the specific facts.

Act 450, ยง4-75-102, narrowly covers publish-for-pay booking-photo sites, and a covered operator must process a qualifying written request without payment within five business days. The official Act 450 page documents the law:

Arkansas Act 450 legislative record

Start with the official record. A publisher route cannot fix a booking photo. Only a sheriff correction or a court order can. Handle the arrest record first.

Madison County Arrest Warrants and Most Wanted

Madison County has no public warrant search or most-wanted portal. A label on the roster can mean several things. It may point to the sheriff's office, another department, a failure to appear, or a court commitment. Confirm any warrant with the issuing court or the sheriff. Search ARCourts may list related docket events. District Court handles misdemeanors and preliminary matters. Circuit Court takes felonies and other circuit cases. Never approach someone believed wanted; send safety tips to law enforcement.

After a Madison County Arrest Reaches Court

Every filed arrest becomes a court case. The official court search is the natural first stop. Use Search ARCourts by participant, case number, date, county, or location to track a Madison County case. For actual documents, the Circuit Clerk at 201 West Main in Huntsville answers at 479-738-2215 weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; District Court is 479-738-2911.

This is where intake allegations can be reconciled with filed charges and disposition.

Madison County Arrest Release Checks

The Recent Releases tab covers one narrow but useful gap. It pairs the arrested date and time with the released date and time for anyone who left Madison County custody in the past 48 hours. That beats Current Inmates when someone was booked and released before you searched. The window is short, though. Once an entry ages out, a missing result tells you nothing. It does not say whether a past booking happened.

Word any release carefully. People get out after bond, a court order, time served, a transfer, or another custody event. Release is not the end of a case. If the name has left the county roster, check VINE Arkansas for a covered status first. Then search the court docket. A transfer to the Arkansas Division of Correction changes which locator applies. The ADC search interface covers state custody only, so it never replaces the Madison County booking record.

Compare the roster timestamp with VINE. Then call the sheriff. Automated systems update at different moments. Treat an alert as a prompt to verify, especially before you arrange transportation or other plans around a release.

How Long Arrest Records Remain

The Madison County roster shows what is on screen, not what the sheriff keeps. New Inmates covers the last 48 hours, and Recent Releases covers exits within the same window. Current Inmates is different. It follows people who remain listed in custody. None of those windows describes the office's retention practices for the underlying jail log, booking sheet, image, warrant paperwork, or release record.

Arkansas law preserves jail logs far longer than any public roster. Criminal-investigation records follow a separate, event-based period. Detention standards also name the core jail-log fields. These include admission, release, charges, officer, and authority for confinement. Retention is not the same as disclosure, though. Exemptions, sealed cases, juvenile protections, active investigations, and redactions can all limit what a requester actually receives.

Ask for the record by its likely name and date. That beats requesting everything tied to a person. Keep it narrow. Name the booking sheet, jail-log entry, release entry, and booking photograph. That gives the custodian one clear event to locate. If part of the record is exempt, ask for the legal basis. Ask the office to release any reasonably separable public portion as well.

Madison Arrest Address Conflict

Madison County's own materials disagree about where to mail the sheriff. Footer and careers pages point to 220 North Gaskill in Huntsville. The information page sticks with 201 West Main Street. So does the Arkansas Sheriffs' Association directory. The circuit clerk lists a West Main address too, which is one more reason not to assume every county justice office shares a single delivery point.

Call 479-738-2320 before you mail an Arkansas FOIA request or drive over. Confirm which address takes booking-record correspondence. Ask whether email works better. The administrative line at 479-738-5612 and mcsoinfo@madisoncounty.net can route a question, though the office makes no promise that either is a dedicated records desk. The sheriff publishes no records-desk hours. And the jail runs around the clock while its records service does not.

One quick call avoids the wrong building. Keep a copy of the request. Note when and how you sent it, and describe the record with precision. Arkansas FOIA allows several request channels, but the custodian still needs enough detail to find the right material.

Resolve Conflicting Arrest Sources

Each source controls one kind of fact. The sheriff-linked roster owns county intake and present custody status. VINE exists for participating custody and court-event notifications. Docket and filed-case information belongs to the Search ARCourts portal and the clerks. ADC handles state correctional custody. The Bureau of Prisons and ICE each run separate locators. The Madison County Record controls only its reporting and e-edition archive, not the official jail record.

Timing explains most conflicts. A person can land in New Inmates, shift to Current Inmates, and leave through Recent Releases while VINE still processes a later update. A newspaper story may run days after the booking. A court case can carry a number the roster never shows. Third-party booking pages often keep a stale image or city tag long after an official view changes. Compare event type and timestamp first.

Resolve identity with more than a name. Compare age or date of birth where it is lawfully shown, plus booking time, agency, charge description, and court venue. Then ask the office that owns the disputed fact. Do not merge similar names, treat a city field as the arrest scene, or read an old photo as proof of current custody.

The Complete Madison County Record Trail

No single source answers everything. Start with New Inmates for a fresh arrest. Current Inmates shows continuing county custody. Recent Releases captures someone who has just exited the Madison County jail. VINE adds notifications where it participates. The weekly newspaper log gives a multi-day local view of Madison County arrests. The court docket holds the filed case and its disposition. ADC, BOP, and ICE matter only when the custody system changes. Once the short public windows expire, a focused Arkansas FOIA request is the right tool.

Save the direct links. Bookmark the official roster pages and the main sheriff number rather than trusting a search-engine result. Older matters take more digging. The Madison County Record e-editions, court files, a clerk inquiry, the county's retained jail log, and archives each cover a different slice of the record. Search paths can overlap. Their meanings stay separate.

This information is not a consumer report. It cannot be used for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose. Verify every material fact with the government office that created it. The creating office is the authority.

VINE Timing and County Custody Status

VINE is Arkansas's statewide notification network. It spans county jails, Department of Corrections custody, and supervision. Court data sent in by prosecutors feeds into it as well. Transfers run on a published schedule. County jail information moves every 15 minutes. DOC data moves hourly, and court and supervision records arrive once each day. Those intervals describe VINE's internal pipeline. They are not a guarantee that a Madison County arrest shows up on any fixed clock. A booking has to be processed at the jail first. Only then can the record move through the system.

VINELink takes several kinds of search terms. You can enter a name, booking number, offender number, case number, ADC number, or PID. Check the identifiers on offer before picking a same-name result. A match may return custody status, location, an offender number, a release date, court events, or supervision details. It is not a certified booking sheet, though. Nor is it a court disposition, federal locator, or photo archive. Arkansas posts telephone help at 1-800-510-0415, staffed in English and Spanish. If release or safety news is urgent, register or call rather than refreshing a roster all day.

A blank VINELink result means little on its own. Spelling errors, delayed transfers, release, a separate custody system, or a protected record can all hide a person. Recheck the RPS tabs. Then call MCSO before drawing any conclusion.
